Tried to update for the first time since updating to 5.8.8 broke my Kindle PW3 on the update process (it completed and never booted again, fixed by itself by letting plug to power for almost a week). I was scared that it'll happen again but it updated without issue. I'm back on the latest firmware.

Gee I feel like that was exactly the point I was making on the other thread that you were strongly disagreeing with. My point was that older models could be locked out of future firmware updates after awhile.

Update my Oasis yesterday. It's great though no additional functionality. It seems, the speed is back to version 5.7.x.

I have upgraded my PW3 (paperwhite 7) to 5.8.10, but I`m disappointed. The device fells a little bit unresponsive, and not that snappy as it was on 5.8.9.2.
Are you guys experiencing the same behavior?

PS: This is odd, because in the release notes it says "Perfomance improvements"... But I don`t see any of those improvements. On the contrary...

My Voyage got updated....shame on me. Now it seems the books I've converted in Calibre don't change fonts anymore. The size changes and that's it.

Not sure if I did something wrong in Calibre or if it's the fault of the update.

Anyone else experiencing this problem and / or have suggestions or solutions?
