Hi, I wanted to know if it would be safe to use my galaxy a5 2016 fast charger to charge the kindle paperwhite which I've just bought, and if I can, will it charge as fast as kindle powerfast charger or will it be slower?
these are the descriptions on my samsung adapter: Model No. : EP-TA20EWE Input: 100-240 V - Frekuensi 50-60 Hz 0.50 A Output: 9.0V = 1.67A or 5.0V = 2.0A |

Using only the 5.0v output - it will be safe for the Kindle.
The Kindle will never charge faster than its internal battery management device allows. Do not use the 9.0v output - unless you just love to breath in Kindle smoke. |

I use whichever 5V charger that is handy.
Oh and just a little aside, a Samsung uses more battery than a PW. So their charger would not be slower. |

Thanks for the replies, so based on what you said I can't use this adapter, right? but why does is say on the adapter 9.0V or 5.0V output, does that mean it can deliver both outputs depending on the device I connect it to, or does it mean it can deliver a maximum amount of 9.0V and since my kindle battery uses 5.0V, therefor I Can't use this for kindle.
Since I don't understand Voltage, Wattage... , please give a clearer reply, can I use this or not, and if not, why, please explain in more detail so I can buy the right adapter for it. |

From the way you wrote your post, I assumed the device had dual outputs. Or a way to switch the one output to one of the two values. Give me a link to the product description, or at least some good pictures of the device. (all six sides) |

https://www.amazon.com/Adaptive-Char.../dp/B00WOB8LP4 Do not use it to charge a Kindle. There is no technical description of its "Adaptive Charging" - So there is no way to know if the Kindle would trigger the 5.volt range or the 9.volt range. Just get a plain, no frills, $0.76 wall charger for 5 volt (common) devices, not one for tablets or smart phones. |

@mostafa, it would really help if you could add your location to your profile. A lot of advice given can be country specific.
Like this recommended USB charger. The link is for Ikea in the US. I could give a link that would be appropriate if you are not in the US. This USB charger is appropriate for your Kindle and it has 3 USB ports and no bright LED light like most multi-port USB chargers have. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10291881/ |

I have USB chargers in the living room (aka sitting room) and the bedroom. I can charge as needed depending where I am when I need charging. I also have my battery with two USB ports as well. I use a microUSB cable with the battery that has mifi certified lightning connector adapter. That way, I have one cable for charging my iPhone, iPad, or H2O.

Come to think of it I don't have one in my bedroom, but I have 4 charging stations in the living room, one charger in the library and one in the kitchen. |

Not in the kitchen. No need for one there. I have 4 ports in the living room and about 6 in the bedroom.

It's simple for some. I have three chargers at my desk and in my bedroom. One is mini-USB for my Bluetooth earphones, one is micro-USB for my Kindles, and one is USB-C for my cell phone.

When I traveled, I took with me one charger (EP-TA20JWE It's like EP-TA20EWE оnly with another plug) and several different USB cables: type C for Galaxy A7, micro-USB for Kindle, bluetooth headset, etc. All my gadgets are charged from this device without failures and only for the iPad mini 2 I took the charger Apple, iPad charges very slowly from Samsung charger They are not friends.
