Summer at Hope Meadows by British author Lucy Daniels (Fantastic Fiction), a shared pseudonym used by multiple authors (in this case, Sarah McGurk, whose bio-blurb says she is a veterinarian herself, with Victoria Holmes), is the 1st novel in her Hope Meadows series of heartwarming contemporary/literary fiction set in a countryside veterinarian's small town, this one giving the story of a newly qualified vet returning home from training in the big city and facing conflict and tragedy with the locals, as well as pressure to return to her boyfriend in the city, and rising to life's challenges, as you do, in between caring for animals, free for a limited time courtesy of publisher Hodder & Stoughton.

This is apparently an adult-level tie-in continuation of popular children's series Animal Ark (Wikipedia) which are credited as by originating author Ben M. Baglio (ISFDB) in North America publication, and is apparently inspired by the beloved writings of the late James Herriot (Wikipedia).
