That website is garbage. Its "source" consists of members of "amazon boards" in 2008-09 who posted this information.

There have been some reputable reports on Kindle demographics - I think Nielson did one. But you have to start with a genuinely representative sample.

I'm not sure whether Amazon knows my age or not. But, yeah, I don't think they'd share it with the competition.

I agree that the source is not very reliable, but I don't think the results are that strange. You don't need to be a techie to love the Kindle.

IMHO Kindle is not about tech, it is about reading, technology is just a tool to save money, space, weight, bulk and pollution while you read.
