The Reaper's Kiss by Abigail Baker (ISFDB) is the 1st novel in her Deathmark series of urban fantasy with strong f/m paranormal romance elements starring a woman employed by some kind of death-dispensing organization , with the unusual ability to mark people with special tattoos for the Reapers to harvest, this initial installment apparently setting up some sort of rebellion that puts her on the run with the obligatory love interest, a renegade Reaper who hopes to use her growing skills to overthrow the corrupt Head Reaper, free for a limited time courtesy of publisher Macmillan's Entangled: Select Otherworld imprint.

An early version of this book under a different title won 1st place in the RWA's Golden Network's 2011 Golden Pen in the Paranormal Romance category, which seems to be one of those awards they give out for best unpublished manuscript or the like. A note in the full blurb says that these are best enjoyed in order, since the storyline follows the eventual couple from adventure to adventure as they continue their attempt to overthrow the organization.
