Install OpenGL ES 2.0 or 3.0
Hi guys. I own a Onyx M96 and a Onyx C67ML and want to run there Teamviewer. On the C67ML it works great, but in M96 it install well, but when start it says I need to install OpenGL ES 2.0. I tried the original firmware which runs android 4.0.x and also the ereader-store firmware which runs android 4.4.4, but it's the same. Installed also an app to check the OpenGL version installed and says no one is installed.
Also contacted to Teamviewer to ask it, but only ask for the crashlogs and don't think they will help so much. We will see... Anyone knows how to install it? I searched on internet and didn't find very encouraging info. Thanks |

Keep searching!! Learned OpenGL 3.0 needs android 5.0 or later, so 2.0 should be fine
Looked at github if there is a OpenGL installer and only found libraries for programmers. I think OpenGL needs a specific installer with a lot of different details for each device. Really don't know. Now will try to find if its possible to extract from the Onyx C67ML and, after some minor changes, install it on M96 or other Onyx devices. |

Opelgl support depends on the processor and graphic chips upgrading Android won't help if no driver support from the hardware

I hope in the android upgrading it could be the driver installed, but that's not how it was.
Tried to check the cpu&gpu info of the M96, but only could know the cpu info and the oPenGL version installed. The M96 has a Freescale i.MX 6SoloLite EVK Board, and the OpenGL ES 1.0. Acording to what you had said, it is not possible to port the OpenGL from the C67Ml because of the different hardware, but maybe it's possible to, collecting info of OpenGL 1.0 installation, do a OpenGL 2.0 install? |

Probably you are right man. Acording at the I.MX wikipage ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I.MX ), the i.mx6SoloLite doesn't have a 3D GPU/Shaders, but the dual core yes, and this iis which runs the C67ML.
I tried toemail to the nxp.com people (who owns freescale) to ask it but the formulary doesn`t works well |
