Best place to get a Kobo

So I've convinced my husband if I sell my Kobo glo and PW3, I can get the H2O 2. I'm in Canada and I've google the return policies on Best Buy and Chapters. They both seem to be pretty alike and I was just wondering if there was any particular retailer that would be best to buy from if for some reason it may be defective and have to be returned.

I know this is probably just personal experience but it would be nice to hear that one was easy to deal with. Or particularly helpful. Ever since I bought my last kobo, a Kobo Vox which gave me nothing but problems, I'm a bit tentative in fear of getting another dud.

Amazon having a Trade-in Now. Up To $35 on PW + $20 more if you buy another kindle from them.... Course IF you want an H20 the extra $20 wont do much good. You may even get more for them Adv them locally newspaper or FaceBook yard sale near your location.

Chapters return policy for books doesn't apply to Kobos,, it's more dependant on the manager's disposition if they take a return for non-defective electronic.)

Yeah my PW is still pretty new. Got it at Christmas and I hope to get a bit more than that for it. Probably go the local route and see what I can get.

Really? That does change things... I thought chapters would be better about it.

When I bought my H2O, I called Chapters customer support and asked about returns. They said if it was defective, I could return it.

I'm in the US and bought my Glo HDs from Chapters. I didn't have a defective unit, but I found their customer support to be truly fantastic when one of the readers was lost in transit. I have no doubt it would be an easy return for a defective unit at Chapters.

As for returning books themselves, how often does that happen? I wouldn't be concerned about the return policy on ebooks, just on the ereader hardware.

Lots of buy and sell groups on facebook. I sold my Touch on a mom to mom facebook group and covered half the cost for my glo HD

Yes thankfully. Especially since I have a $20 certificate for best buy which I may now be using for my new Kobo. Lol.
I'm hoping to check out the H202 later this week when I get to the city.

That's pretty good! I know the Kobo Glo probably won't go for much but I'm hoping for a bit more for the PW3.

I had good luck with Chapters when I had to exchange a broken Kobo Touch years ago, but I noticed for a subsequent Kobo purchase (Glo) they attached some kind of note to the bill that said to contact Kobo and not Chapters for returns. I don't know whether that's still the case. Mind you, both of those were in-store, not online and four-ish or more years ago.

I bought my new Aura2 at Best Buy (in the store).

Yeah I just searched chapters website a bit further today and it says electronics can only be returned if in original and unopened packaging. Doesnt really give me the chance to check the ereader...
