Kobo Aura One: Browser Download Broken 4.4.9349
Before the update it worked but only for smaller files. Now, nothing gets downloaded. When clicking download it directly shows "Download complete".
Anyone else seen this?

It works for me. And there has been some discussion in https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...88#post3527688.

But, if you are using the calibre v3 beta, the browser in 4.4.9349 doesn't work with it. I haven't tried an older version of the firmware.

Strange. I don't use calibre at all, just browsed to a folder on my synology where I store my epubs.

I also do not work full downloads, it puts full download but there is nothing.

My KA1 is running on 4.4.9349
I tried downloading 2 epubs both downloaded and opened ok

I assume you mean the NAS is presenting a web page for you to select the books and download them.

What should happen is that when you press the link for the book it will prompt you whether to download or not. If you press download, it starts the download and eventually prompts whether to open the book or not. In both cases, the book should be stored in the root directory of the device when connected to a computer. Is that file being created but not added to the library?

From my small amount of testing, the only place I have not been able to download a book from is the calibre v3 beta. Anywhere else that I have tried to get an epub from works. That isn't a large list, but it includes Porject Gutenberg and the Kobo store.

If the NAS has any logs for the download, you should check them to see what it says. Otherwise, you need to check the headers for the download to ensure they are being set correctly for the browser to see it as a book.

Correct. I click the epub, i get the "Download" button. Click it. The Kobo shows me the option to download or cancel. I click "download" and it directly goes to "Complete, open book or cancel". In the earlier firmware, there was a progress bar and then the actual book was downloaded. Nothing changes on the synology so I must assume its the new firmware?

So what happens when you press open book or cancel? I think it is downloading the book in the background and the book might be downloaded by the time you make the choice.

Actually either nothing happens, or the book is added but is only a few bytes in size. Strange...

Everything I have tried works. Or, I know why it doesn't. I think I'd need access to the server or something similar installation to see. You could look at the server logs in case it shows something.

Because of the problems with the calibre v3 beta, I did some more investigation on how the browser worked. I posted what I found in the developers subforum. And the calibre beta has been changed to work.
