Kobo Glo HD possible sleep light fix
I'm using a Kobo Glo HD with the latest firmware and a third party sleep cover. I was also experiencing the light/brightness staying on 1% instead of 0% causing the battery to drain quickly. I turned off the sleep cover option in the energy saving and privacy section and now the device is going to sleep with brightness staying at 0% instead of bumping up to 1%. I will monitor this over the next day few days to see if this is a short term fix until new firmware addresses this issue.

I don't have that issue. I keep my Glo HD light on 8 and it goes to sleep just fine and wakes up fine.
Have you tried a restart? Sent from my XT1528 |

I restarted my device and it still gave the same issue. Since turning off the sleep cover option, my battery has not drained all day. It started happening after the latest firmware update. Some people reported this issue in the bug thread also with the Aura One HD. I thought it might help those who were experiencing the same bug.

I seem to remember this being an issue with a previous firmware a few years ago (possibly when the original glo or aura were released). I just can't remember how long it took for a firmware update to fix it.

I experienced the same bug: going to sleep with 0 brightness and upon activating the brightness was 1 ( or 7) and battery significantly drained. After experimenting with energy settings and disabling swipeBrightness the brightness remains set

Ah. I have the swipe gesture disabled on mine because I got tired of turning the light off by accident. That may be the fix for now. No issues with battery or light here.

argh.... i don't like this fix. i like the swipe function.... i'm just turning off my glo hd when i'm done instead of letting it go to sleep.
