First gen. H2O water proof door
Hi
Recently I bought cheaply a bricked H2O and restored it to life but it was without water proof doors. So is it possible to replace them somehow? Maybe someone has one spare/not needed from a broken device? |

How were you able to restore the H2O? if it involved opening it, the door won't matter as it won't be waterproof anyway.

I had a look at my H2O's door and I cannot see how to put it on because I am unable to see the part that's inside the H2O. |

Actually for me it was quite easy - managed to do it on first try. I turned off the device. Then, I used one hand to press and hold the power button and two fingers of second hand to tap repeatedly both bottom corners of screen until device did a factory reset. But maybe I got lucky

Yeah. So this discussion got a bit offtopic. No one can help with spare ports cover? Or some idea how to make one

Neither I nor my husband could figure out how to get it back in and we even thought some part of it might have been broken or torn off but my husband is a patient person and worked his way through several layers of Kobo phone reps until he found one that actually got hold of a tech-type person who explained how it worked. It's not a very elegant arrangement but what you do is position the arrow bit just barely inside the little hole and then use a bent paper clip to push down on the flat top of the arrow until it clicks into place. I wasn't expecting it to work but it did. Before we got to that helpful rep a couple of other reps offered to send out a new port cover, so they did have spares at the time. I don't know if they still have them, or how difficult it would be to find a rep that could actually locate one and send it out. |

Thank you disconnected for this valuable information. Maybe I'll try to contact with Kobo but as I'm living in Poland I don't think they would send me a spare
