GUI Change Suggestions

I am pretty sure that the developers has better things to worry about than the following suggestions, but I hope someone else would be willing to try....If these suggestions are already available, please let me know.

1. Custom Icons-- the ability to select multiple columns for rules. I guess it could be like a reverse of how it is now. How you can select multiple rules for one column, but being able to select multiple columns per rule. This is useful for an overall "is set" rule.

2. Details Panel - being able to indicate whether headings for columns other than text would be shown on top, to the left, or not at all. The way it is now, the headers are on the left, making the information for all columns shown be pushed over to the side as far as the longest header is. Being able to show the headers on top, or not at all would allow for the full space to be used. Note, I understand that changing the size of the panel, or the whole GUI (narrow or wide) would change the details panel, but I am trying to make it as small as possible but still show as much info. As it is the book cover shown is an arbitrary size if it is in wide. It would be nice to be able to choose the size of the cover shown.

3. Color Rules- the same as icon rules, also being able to select the color change for the background of the column rather than just the text.

4. The ability to split a single book entry into multiple entries if there is more than one book. I don't know how many times I accidentally merge records together and end up with two different books in the same entry. I guess it would be listed under the add book and could be listed as "split book entry" for each book listed. As it is now I have to delete the book I don't want and then re-add it and create a new entry. Being able to split it would save time.
This is also helpful for sending only specific formats to another library.

5. Icons in the details panel

6. More metadata or icons to show in the cover browser when having it show over the columns, and not just the covers alone. There is a ton of real estate below the covers that can easily be filled with either icons or column info.

I think that's it for now. I apologize that I know this is not Burger King and I can't order it "my way" but if it is something that others would like as well, it might be something to consider.

Thanks!
