Most Readers are plastic. I cannot say if any are metal. As for best looking, it's the one I'm using to read the book I am enjoying.

I personally like a Reader that uses RMDSK (ADE) because the typsetting is good. You get hyphenation, kerning, and ligatures depending on the font used.

Sony PRS-500 was metal. And it came with an integrated cover - with a clip built to the backside of the reader. I paid $350 for it in 2007 or 2008. It would be $416 today (inflation adjusted).

High-contrast eink screen. Fine-tunable frontlighting. Ability to sideload and adjust fonts and other display options. I spend my reading time looking at the screen, not admiring the back of the case.

If the question is sexiest and best looking, and not about features or utility or any other aspects I think there's only one possible answer, the original Kobo Aura. It's simply beautiful. It's graceful and elegant and it nearly glows. In fact, in the dark, it does glow.

That said, if I could only have one ereader I'd prefer a Kindle. Looks aren't everything.

The best looking ereader will be one you can get a nice skin for. Look at Decalgirl and Skinnit to see what models they have templets for. You might also see which models have covers you find attracive for an affordable price.

How funny. I think the Kindle Voyage is the best looking e-reader, though I prefer Kobo to read

I do agree that the original Kobo Aura is a nice looking reader.

I find the Voyage not all that good looking. The lines for the haptic buttons and the light sensor holes just don't look all that good.

What I do think looks really good are the Kobo Aura One and the Kobo Aura H2O Edition 2.

I like the Voyage just fine. I have one and I've been reading with it today. It's not a bad looking device. It certainly has a slick design and to me that's not really a good thing. The Aura is simple and elegant.

Again, if I had to keep just one it would certainly be the Voyage. I'm glad I don't have to keep just one.
