Kindle 5.8.2.1 downgrade for jailbroken user

Can anyone tell me what is the current way do downgrade a kindle. I remember, that a year or so ago, there was a topic where kindleTool was used, together with crp. I cannot find it. I cannot also find a 5.6.5 firmware on amazon site, could someone link those things please?

What model? It does make a difference.
If your model is mentioned in the title, use the current jailbreak directions. That is the no-brainer way to do the downgrade, even if already jailbroken.

OK.
Your best bet is to follow the current jail break instructions (it does not matter that it is already jail broken).
You have to do that because your current firmware has "downgrade prevention" -
It will only allow you to install the factory, production testing, firmware build.

Then when you get to Step #7 -
Download the update for 5.8.5 (if that is what you want) instead of the current 5.8.9
