Kobo Glo HD read hours error

as you can see the read hours counter didnt make sense. Changing from 50 hours to 27 hours as i progressed reading. any solution?

It is a known bug in the last few versions of the firmware. It has been discussed here in several threads. Kobo know about and hopefully will have a fix in the next update.

so it's a bug.. not something wrong with my hardware? was afraid it is an early sign of hardware malfunction

When the stats do get fixed, will they be correct or incorrect? Is the current firmware writing the correct values and just calculating them incorrectly or are the values written incorrectly and calculated correctly or is both incorrect?

The problem I see, if they fix the reading stat do people really going to believe it fixed and show the right reading stat.

I'm pretty sure some stats are being recorded properly, but displayed incorrectly. But, I know the page turn stat is not being recorded properly. Or if it is recorded correctly, the way it is being recorded has changed. Until they are fixed, we won't know.
