[iOS] How do I read downloaded book on iPad?

I don't see any way to read a downloaded book on my iPad. I downloaded something via calibre companion, and it shows in cc dashboard, but I can't find it from other apps and I see no way to send the file to another app. What am I missing?

I have megareader installed on the same iPad and I'm thinking I wasted my money buying cc.

I don't have CC currently installed, but when you look at a books details you should see Read at the top of the screen. Tapping that should let you open the book in your chosen reader.

This is indeed the case.
You may also need to tap More to select your reader of choice. I don't have /know megareader but I have several readers installed including iBooks, and I can copy to all of them.
Also be sure to have the right formats available, epub to most readers or mobi/asw to the Kindle app.

Edit: I downloaded the free edition of Megareader. It does not appear among the apps that can receive ebooks. The following reader apps do appear:

MapleRead, Marvin, Hyphen, iBooks, Bluefire Reader, GoodReader.

I downloaded the paid version of Mega reader that I bought several years ago and it shows up for me. Tried it and it works.

I can see that the free version hasn't been updated for almost 5 years, whereas the paid version has a recent update, March 2017.
