Aura 2 $99 sale with free shipping

So what's the verdict on this thing - same hardware specs as the 2013 Aura, but dressed in the new case style. Obviously minus the SD, flush bezel, etc. Or did they upgrade any of the components at all?

Worth $99 for the upgrade, as opposed to the older version for $49 on Ebay?

The Aura 2 has a Carta screen which makes the contrast better.

I have the first gen Aura, and I've not found screen contrast to be a problem.

Improved doesn't mean the old one is bad, just that the new one is better. That said I would save my money, IIRC the Aura 2 had a lot of us scratching our heads as to why it was released.

It might also mean the battery is fresher than if you were to buy an old Aura. Other than that I don't think there's a whole lot in it.

The flush screen on the original Aura while looking very nice had some negatives for me (it is clearly harder to get the screen right when using a tablet like flush screen with capacitive touch), but if you can get it for half the price of the Aura 2, I'd probably just get the older model. I agree with meeera the only definitive upgrade is the fresher battery.
