Can Sigil find tricky typos?
I got a book review where the reader said they found some typos. I went over this book mercilessly and could find nothing. When I look in the Sigil list of misspelled words they are just the way I want them. All I can think of is homonyms ("their" "there") or missing or extra characters ("he" "she" "the"). Anybody got any suggestions for finding the tricky typos?

FX with the there/their/they're cases, and plurals that maybe should be contractions and vice versa @TPTB - that PI doesn't seem to be in the PI index. BR Last edited by BetterRed; 01-26-2017 at 07:55 PM. |

Is it possible to contact the person who left the review and ask what typos were found?

![]() IT companies (MS , Google etc) hire autistic people to do software testing, they are very good at detailed repetitive tasks, and seeing what's software actually does rather than what they think should do. The perennial problem with proofreading is our ability to self correct - pubic to public being a well known example. Which led me to wonder, are there any proofreading services that use the special abilities of autistic people - indeed there are, search for 'autistic proofreaders'. BR |

BTW, users who want to give this mode a try will need to use a special LanguageTool.json preferences file for best results: Code:
{ "enabledOnly": true, "enabledRules": "CONFUSION_RULE", "ngramIndexDir": "C:/ngrams", "ltPath": "C:/Program Files/LanguageTool-3.6/languagetool-commandline.jar", "allFiles": true } C:/ngrams/en/1grams C:/ngrams/en/2grams C:/ngrams/en/3grams Obviously, the values in Magenta need to be changed to match the actual installation folders. Python also requires slashes or double back-slashes for folder names. |

Thanks Jon. I thought of that but what are the odds they'll remember? It was a Goodreads reviewer and I probably could contact them, but I went through the book yet again and if there are typos they are tiny and few. I'm confidant with what I've got out there now.
