Amazon Chinese eBook
Hello,

I have created an eBook in Chinese and would like to upload it to Amazon.
When I fill in the form, Chinese does not appear in the list as a supported language.
If that's the case, how come there are so many Chinese ebooks on amazon? how do people manage to publish them under Chinese language?

Perhaps they want to know "which" Chinese language. Is Cantonese or Mandarin listed as options?

chinese is all the same in written form. the question is whether it is written in simplified or traditional form.

only in spoken form is cantonese differentiated from mandarin (or any of dozens of other chinese dialects).

in "scanned" pdfs, languages don't matter. perhaps these chinese books on amazon are in this format?

AFAIK, KDP self-publishers are restricted to the languages listed on the KDP website and books in other languages are only accepted by big publishing houses with ftp access.

Have your client contact KDP support to find out whether this rule is still in effect.

That's what I thought, will do.

Chinese does not appear to be a supported language in any form, Japanese is though .
