Exclamation {A1} black screen after 4.2.8283!!!
hallo,

After manually updating, adding the files to .kobo/, the device rebooted and it got a BLACK screen.

Apparently it works because by guessing I open a book and flashes the light upon re-freshing. Light mode also response when touching the left border up and down.

I am unable to set the usb mode though.

Hopefully is not a hard brick, it appears some problem with the screen.

Does anybody know about this problem? How to fix it?

Also I can't see a way to do a hard reset on the thing.

There is a rule that you didn't follow. The rule is to always backup before installing a new firmware or OS.

Factory reset restore your device to its original settings, delete files and books, reset stat.
