How do I just make a printout of my Calibre library? Shouldn't there be a clear link or menu option for this somewehere? I am on a Mac.

Printout? You must have a tiny Library

[Not a direct print]
Right click the conversion Icon: Create a Catalog: <choose format>
CSV can be imported by most spreadsheets, then you format to print.

You could save many trees, by making a e-book version (Mobi or EPUB) and cary that.

Look at the command line tools: calibredb --list: There are many options for reduced datasets
