Nook glowlight plus screensavers

Recently I purchased the glowlight plus. The one thing that bothers me is the screensavers. Is there any way to have the current book read act as the screensaver?
Everything else works well...I can download books from my library and sideload my other books using calibre. I just hate those screensavers!

Any way to replace them??

When I used to own a Nook ST with Glowlight you could add your own custom screensavers, though you couldn't use your current book cover as a screensaver (unless you added it manually).

Here's a guide. It works for the Nook ST and Glowlight. Not certain if it works for the Glowlight Plus: How to Set Custom Screensavers on Nook GlowLight

It's not a screensaver as an eInk screen doesn't need to be saved.

unfortunately, b&n took this feature away from the NGP. there is no Screensavers folder on the drive's root path and it won't let you create a folder there. i also tried creating a folder with the same name in various places (\NOOK\Screensavers, \NOOK\My Files\Screensavers) and placed pictures in them. but the option to choose your personal images is also no longer available.

I tried that method of setting custom screensavers....but Barnes and Nobles has been up to its tricks again. The Nook does not let the computer access the folder where the screensavers are kept on my glowlight plus. It doesn't even show up on the pc screen.
The Simple Touch made it so easy to put on custom screensavers.

For an eInk screen, the screen doesn't need saving. So calling it a screen saver is incorrect. I would call it a sleep screen so you know when the Reader has gone to sleep.

So the user can be completely wrong and just because we can understand what's meant, nobody is going to correct said user?

Also, Nook calls that screen a screensaver (in Settings, it is under Screen>Screensaver). So it is the correct terminology, for what that's worth.

Guess what Jon: I DO have a screen saver on my devices. They SAVE the SCREEN from being blank when I sleep or turn the device off by displaying the cover of the book. So there!

I checked the manual for the Glowlight Plus. On page 80, they discuss what you can pick as an image for screen timeout. There are 3 default choices and directions given say someone can pick on of these; there are no directions for customizing what they call the 'screensaver.'
It's almost like there is an undercover Amazon agent at BN trying to sabatoge the Nook.
