How to include pub year in filenames of saved books from calibre

Hi everybody,

When I save books to disk from calibre, I would like them to be sorted by publishing year within authors' names folder as flws:

{author_sort}/{pubdate}_{title}/{author_sort}_{title}

could do the job, except that {pubdate} output is including the publishing month.

How could I get the flwg result:

Harry Kemelman\1978_Thursday the Rabbi Walked Out\Thursday the Rabbi Walked Out.azw3

where only the publishing year is mentioned.

Many thanks in advance for any helpful clue.

You need to use a more complex template:

look at the format_date(val, format_string) – format the value, which must be a date field, using the format_string, returning a string.
