Unable to mound sd card

I've tried with both a 64GB and a 256GB and both come up with "Damaged SD card" error messages. I have formatted both cards within the device but to no avail. The cards show up fine in my PC. My Max Reader is on the latest firmware. This is the first time I've inserted an SD card. Any ideas?

When I had problems with my Kobo seeing a card formatting with SD Card Formatter (instead of Windows) from the SD Association got it working, might be worth a shot. I also formatted with the card in a card reader instead of in the device.

You have to format it with FAT32 and not exFat.

With Windows you could use this tool.
