cannot move pdf from laptop to tablet using cc

I have 1 pdf in calibre (and 7000 epubs) and when I connect via CC and try to move that solitary pdf to my Samsung Galaxy S2 nook calibre asks if I want to convert the book before uploading. This is simply not an option because the images and text in the pdf become unreadable. When I select "no", nothing happens. The pdf does not transfer to my tablet. Calibre and CC do not lock up or anything... they just sit there waiting for me to do something else.

I am running the most current version of windows 10 and calibre version 2.70 [64-bit] on my laptop. CC is v5.2.1.7 and moon pro is set as the default reader. There is plenty of space in the main memory to add files.

I honestly don't know whether CC or calibre is the problem. Since everything else in my library is epub, I haven't tried transferring any other file type before. Am I doing something wrong? I have tried both send to device and send specific format to device.

I would check the settings on CC. It looks like you have limited the formats you send and pdf is not included.
The first option in Settings, Format and folders (at least is the first one in Spanish), let you choose the folder to send your books and the formats you want to send, verify that you have pdf checked.
