Ipad does not read dropbox
My Dropbox contains all my epub books copied from my calibre library. Alhough my ipad tells me that it is linked to my dropbox the dropbox file list on my ipad is empty. What am I doing wrong?

Could be a lot of things. Are you using the dropbox app on the ipad, or are you using a reader app that links to dropbox?

It works fine for me although dropbox itself cannot view ePub it can store them. Are you looking in the right folder? Have you tried just placing an individual ePub in Dropbox and seeing if it is shown?

You also might want to try connecting dropbox with a reader app (I believe several support dropbox) and see if the epubs are visible in the reader app.

All my epub books are in folders but when I put a single book in dropbox it is not seen.
My Marvin reader doesn't see the single book either.

When using Marvin you have to go into settings and link to dropbox. Have you done that?

Compare with the instructions there and see at which step it fails to work for you. This should be a better approach than trying to do your diagnostic indirectly with another third-party app.

BTW, there are lots of ways other than Dropbox to get your books from calibre to e-reader apps in general.

Sorry for delay. Spent some time in hospital. I have done everything that was suggested above. No soap. I have now uninstalled dropbox on computer and ipad and want to start from scratch. First question. In App store there are 2 dropboxes named Dropbox and Dropbox EMM. Which one to use?

Use Dropbox app (not EMM). Hope you're feeling well now.

BTW, from the App Store customer reviews it seems that the current version 18.2 (released on Oct 11, 2016) is quite buggy. (I'm not using the current version.)

Reinstalled dropbox. Don't ask me what I did wrong but suddenly the single file I put on my PC drop box was visible on my ipad dropbox. We live in a mysterious world or maybe I am just stupid or maybe a bit of both.
Anyway, thanks all for your help. My next job is connecting calibre with Marvin but that is not part of the current topic so let's consider this thread closed.
