Calibre Stopped Working
Calibre was working fine a month ago and then today it could not convert books from azw to epub. I think it maybe the update to 2.69. I then re-downloaded 2.68 and reloaded the plugin but nothing on two different books that are azw format.
Anyone have a idea what the solution might be? Thx, AZreader |

There is a Kindle Format that Calibre can not do.
I think it is KFX (inside an AZW wrapper) |

Plugin is DeDRM6.5.1. Is the KFX format new?
Thanks, |

The plugin you referred to only affects files as they are added to calibre and is not part of converting books after the book has been added. |

Calbre Stopped Working
More specifically, the books are not converting from azw3 to epub. After more research it appears "theducks" is correct. I had also incorrectly stated azw instead of azw3 format. Upon converting to epub a box appears with the title "This book is DRMed" and that is the end of the process.
Thanks |

Had you installed that Plugin BEFORE adding the book?
(Visit the site where you got it for more help. MR rules prohibit help with that task) |

Looking back,I may have done 2.69 upgrade with existing plugin installed. I will do uninstall and install again. Once a book is removed in the normal manner are there additional bits of data that need to be removed? Thanks.

Copy the book to a safe place (save to folder or OS Copy) have Calibre delete the book (you might be able to do a Remover selected Format) Add the book That should do it ![]() |

I have uninstalled and reinstalled exactly as specified in the instruction page with the same result of no conversion to EPUB. Looks as though we will have to do the Family share thing for Kindle which seems cumbersome to just share the damn book with the wife! Thanks for your help!

PI Updates overwrite the older version. BTW Uninstalling Calibre does not touch the Configuration Folder. That is where the settings and Plugin is kept. DID YOU re-ADD THE BOOK? Add is the only time the PI does its thing ![]() |

Here are the steps I took:
Remove book, delete the PI, uninstall Calibre , reinstall Calibre, reinstall PI using specific instructions from source page, re-add the book. AZW 3 checked in behavior section. Thanks |
