Anyone have both fire hd 6 and the new 8?

Hi,
I was just wondering how they compare as far as lag.

I have an Ipad Air 2 that I like to use at home, but we go camping a lot, and I would like to have something inexpensive with me. My girls both have the hd6 and I find it to get kind of slow at times, and a bit glitchy. Like this morning, I was using one of the 6's to browse the internet(dolphin browser)and the app would randomly close during browsing. I just wanted to see if the 8 was a bit more stable and reliable. Maybe a little faster???

Hi,
I have a battery pack that can charge my iPad twice,so I'm sure that would be enough for a weekend getaway. I spend most of my time fishing.
