There is one new translatable string related to the backup spinner.

The string is translated... and I eagerly wait for the new type of column... (and rating from CC )

Do you run calibre from source? If so, the new rating stuff is there. I played with it trying to break it, and failed except for sorting in the tag browser.

Note that only custom ratings columns support 1/2 stars. The standard column does not.

Not at this moment, but perhaps I can think about it till the next release (as I routinely patch it for allowing comments at metadata plugboard). And no problem with custom column, I already have a column for half star and another one which shows with stars the sum of rating and half star.

I've played with it now, I've added the colum to the groups... and no half star there.... No sort but grouping. It looks like they are grouped by ratings, not my custom column. Anyway... I like a lot the half stars... after making a sql query to copy the standard column to the custom column...

Today's beta release fixes the missing 1/2 star lines in the grouping drawer.

I am not sure what you saying about "No sort but grouping. It looks like they are grouped by ratings, not my custom column.". Sorting works fine in my testing, as does grouping on the custom column (with today's fix to show half-stars).

EDIT: you must resend the books to see the 1/2 star lines in the grouping drawer. Alternatively you can remove the custom column from the grouping drawer, let the DB upgrade, then re-add it. Sending the books is probably faster.

This is a problem in the latest release of calibre (2.67). The content server OPDS feed blows up if the library has no custom columns.

But I have several custom columns. And using chrome to access it seems ok.

Are you using calibre V2.67? The bug is only in the OPDS feed. The custom columns must be category-type columns shown in the content server.

If you revert to calibre 2.66 the problem will go away.

As far as I can tell, CC is not involved.

Using CC V5.1.5.2, I get the failure you describe with calibre V2.65 and a library containing no custom columns. If I add a text-type custom column to that library then it works, even if the column contains no data. A calibre patched to fix the problem (the fix is in calibre's source branch) works in both cases.
