Yahoo WiFi Hotspot Finder
I just stumpled via PalmAddicts over this link which is Yahoo's own database for WiFi Hotspots in the U.S. I was hoping that mobile.Yahoo would offer other nice accessible features, but it seems that you must have a plan with one of the supported carriers to access them.
