Sync bookmarks on Kobo Glo?

Hello All,

Is there any way to sync the bookmarks on my Kobo Glo back to Calibre? I've tried a couple things (Kobo Utilities plugin, Send to Device -> Fetch Annotations), but no joy so far. Note that I'm interested in both reading progress as well as "bookmarks" - I sometimes keep numerous bookmarks per book to flag interesting bits. Almost all my books are ePub.

The backstory is that I need to reset my Kobo device, and want to restore it once done. But, as a side benefit, I'd really like to figure out how to download & sync all my bookmarks regardless.

Any help greatly appreciated!

You must set up the Custom column PRECISELY as outlined

Are you sure you did all the steps correctly?

Thanks @theducks. Setting up the columns does get them populated with current reading location stuff, but it doesn't sync all the bookmarks in my various books. As I mentioned above, "that I'm interested in both reading progress as well as 'bookmarks' - I sometimes keep numerous bookmarks per book to flag interesting bits."

For the bookmarks or annotations, you can use the Annotations plugin. But, it doesn't save them in a format that can be restored to the device. Currently, there is no automatic way to do this. There was a discussion on this in the last week or so in the Kobo forum with some suggestions on how to achieve it.
