Calibre gives unwanted paragraph indentation

I have a document which I created in MS Word 2003 (.doc). [I actually downloaded text from the internet then formatted it the way I wanted it, but that probably isn't relevant to the problem!] Each paragraph in the document is in one of various styles I have defined, e.g Heading 2, Body Text TNR 12/6, etc.

Since I want to read this document on my Kindle DX I want it in MOBI format, so I opened the .doc file in LibreOffice Writer (as MS Word 2003 does not output in .docx format), and output it in .docx format. I then used Calibre to read it and output it in MOBI format.

The problem I have is that on two of my paragraph types Calibre has indented the paragraph even though in the .docx file these paragraphs were not indented.

One of the paragraph styles it does this to is my Heading 2, which I use throughout the document for sub-headings; I want it left-justified, up against the left margin, as my whole document is left-justified.

The other paragraphs which Calibre indents which were not indented in the .docx file are numbered paragraphs, which have hanging indents. Calibre has preserved the hanging indents but has shifted the whole indented paragraph some way to the right (by adding in unwanted left indentation), thus completely messing up the appearance of my page.

All I want is for Calibre to leave my formatting alone, but presumably there must be something in my text which prompts Calibre to add these unwanted indentations.

Is there any way of either:
(a) identifying what it is in my text which prompts Calibre to add these unwanted indentations, so I can change whatever that is before I ask Calibre to convert the document, or
(b) editing the MOBI document by identifying the wrongly indented paragraphs and removing the unwanted indentations?

I hope that makes sense. Do I need to supply any further information to help you in responding to my query?

Thank you (in hope!)
