Hi everyone,
I broke my M92. Thought I could repair it myself and bought a screen online in China. So I took it apart, changed the screen and put it back together. BUT unfortunately it doesn't work. No change on the screen. What to do now? Maybe someone was already more successful and could give me some hints. Any advice would be really appreciated! ![]() Best, Raphael |

Hi,
In a other thread, Booxtor (http://ereader-store.de) wrote that a voltage must be adjusted for the screen. There is a dependence between the batch of the device and the device's screen, so if you change the screen, an adjustment could be required... Have you correctly plug the battery ? Have you fully charge the battery ? Have you reset the device ? What's happen when you try to shutdown the device : the blue led ? |

Hi,
Thanks much for your answers. Yes, I saw the thing with the voltage adjustment but no idea how to do it. Maybe I find a hint in the T1 user manual. The blue LED is working fine, haven't tried a reset yet though. I also rechecked the connections. Everything as it should I guess. What really bothers me is that I have no way to check if the screen was sent to me in a workable state. My guess is that is is really not so easy to adjust the voltage as Booxtor wrote. Instead of saving money I will be spending more... ![]() ![]() |

Hello
It seems that I found a topic which covers exactly your question: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=220794 There is a post from Boxtor where he explain how you can adjust the VCOM voltage => with the recovery update (cause I think the chip flash methode is too risky). But I don't know if it still works. Good luck PS: I've got the same problem with the screen voltage, but with a M96. Unfortenately there aren't many info about the VCOM voltage in the net. PPS: Here are the instruction how you can go into the recovery mode: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=242726. It was written for a T68, but I think it will work on a M92 too Last edited by Cat_Turbo; 08-29-2016 at 06:19 PM. |
