Typing experience on Oasis
Hi everyone,

I am now using PW3 for my most reading activities. I took notes in the text while I read, which as you know, a bit slow and error prone.
I am considering Oasis for its lightweight. Anyone know, is there difference in responsiveness or accuracy typing in Oasis compared to PW3?

I think the main problem is that you are using a device optimized for low-power battery life, minimal screen refreshes, etc.

It's not so bad, but there is definitely a bit of lag. And it's been that way since forever, so if they haven't fixed it by the time the PW3 came around I feel confident they haven't fixed it in the Oasis either...

...

Especially because the hardware in the latest PW and the Voyage and Oasis is pretty much identical.

How about doing your reading in an e-ink device, but taking notes on an iPad or PC, with the same book open?

Generally, though, in that situation, simply highlighting the appropriate text is sufficient. The error rarely requires entering notes (unless it's something like missing text that needs to be inserted).
