The story of a young man in search of the truth regarding the fall of civilization. He exists hundreds of years in the future, where the date is no longer tracked and the world has become a wasteland of disease and desperation.

Driven by loneliness and curiosity, he begins wandering the abandoned sections of his assigned district. What he eventually finds leads him to believe the remaining government is purposely withholding information from the people. That books have been removed and destroyed in order to hide the true history of the world. That maybe the stories he’s heard passed around since he was a young boy are only scratching the surface of a far more sinister reality.

The discoveries constantly torture his thoughts - begging him to leave the district in search of more information. A crime punishable by death. While struggling to find the courage to set out, a series of unexpected events force him to flee and start his journey into the unknown.

Due to the toxicity of the environment the average human lifespan is only around 30 to 40 years of age. Already being 28, the coughing and fatigue has started to set in, only making it that much more difficult.

When he's found by a group of resistance fighters - everything changes.

Book 1 one of 2. Just over 56,000 words. Not quite as short as the Amazon page count makes it seem.

You are slightly off. As of right now, you are at 91.
Looking at the authors there, 91 is fantastic.
Many are very good.

I feel I should tell you that downloads do not mean immediate reads. Keep in mind that many people also downloaded the books above yours in those top 100.

It is sometimes months or even years before a download will be looked at.

I might also say that your first chapter can make or break you.

I'm just hoping to get even one good review so when I release book 2 it'll help when I use the rest of my free days.
