kobo touch 1 vs kobo touch 2.0

hello,

i'm in the search for a cheap e-reader, and
i have seen some good deals on used kobo touch 1 and used kobo touch 2 on ebay.

in your opinion, would you rather spend money on to buy a used kobo touch 1 or a used kobo touch 2.0?

I would choose the Touch 2.0. The original Touch is at least two years old, and could be five years old, and the battery is possibly starting to fade. The Touch 2.0 is at most a year old, so should be in better condition. They both have the same resolution screen, but I think the Touch 2.0 has a later version and should be clearer. Internal memory should be 2GB for the old and 4GB for the 2.0.

About the only advantage the original Touch had is the external SD card slot. The Touch 2.0 doesn't have one.

Also the new Touch doesn't have the home button. I don't like the home button on the old Touch, it seems to take extra steps to do some things (maybe it's just me). And the battery life is a huge concern, I have one for my son, with one or two books on it, which he uses at most 10 minutes a day. The battery drains pretty fast. I would not recommend one at all, not when the newer one is available.

Hey you can get a Kobo Mini for $30 on ebay. I totally recommend those, if you need to spend as little as possible. Seller is spinningnoon.
