Given a choice, I would go with MS Reader format. With MS Reader format, I can remove the DRM and easily convert to just about any other format I want. Converting MS Reader to LRF is very easy.

I really was just wondering about Epub and BBeB some of us dont or cant mess with DRM Stripping due to legalities. Also I was just wondering if users had a preference due to appearance or readability.

I've been having better luck with ePub when grabbed from Feedbooks and the like. Faster rendering than an equivilent LRF.

Now if only I could figure out what it takes for my current collection of semi-compliant ePubs to become fully compliant enough for the Sony to read them, I would be in heaven.

Honestly, for me, if it's available in a number of formats, I'll take whichever one is least expensive I've found that there can be some significant price differences, and with Fictionwise's microrebates program, you can apply part of what you spend on some books to buying another, so that gives them kind of an edge. The PDF stuff is a bit oddly formatted at times, especially since I need to enlargen the type to read it, but if it's gonna save me $3 or $4 bucks, I can handle it not being all pretty-like

My PRS-505 is currently on the way to my house courtesy of UPS.

Before I go on a shopping spree I would also like to know which formats are best for me. I don't envisage the Sony being my last or only reader so I will want a format useable by other readers (or easily convertible).

I have downloaded 2 free books from Fictionwise in different formats to see what I like the best. It seems a lot of people like the Microsoft Reader format (.lit?) for easy conversion.
Should I be converting to .LRF for the Sony?

I already have the Sony Software and Calibre on my PC for testing.

So what format do you buy DRMless books in and what do you convert to?
What format do you buy DRM books in and do you format them to something else?

Sorry for all the nooby questions.
