Identifying epub books with large file splits?
I maintain the library on my mother's Nook. Occasionally she will have a problem with a book seizing and the solution, so far, has been to convert from ePub to ePub specifying 60kb to reduce the split sizes and remove the problem.
However, I have loaded a lot of books to her Nook and I would like to identify any other Ebooks that have split sizes bigger than, say, 60 kb so that I know which books might be a problem. Is this possible? I can convert batches of books quite simply but is there any way to remove the original ePub files from those converted books all at the same time rather than editing the metadata for each book individually to remove it? I hope someone can help. |

Which nook is this? I have a nook STR and I know that it can handle files larger than 60kb.

Quality Check PI has this (and many other checks):
Check EPUB Structure: Check oversize HTML files Note: you can't set the size here (I think it uses the size from Calibre preferences) 60 KB is unusually small. 260KB is typical RMSDK (ADE) are there inline images? That may cramp the available RAM. I suspect you are running into (HiRes) Large Images, which cause my old (favorite) device to abend. I would run that check first ![]() ![]() |

From the mid 60s to the late 70s I was a Systems Programmer for the IBM/360 30, 40, 50, 65 and 75 mainframes. TOS, DOS, MFT and MVT. Then 370/155 (non-virtual) and 370/168MP running VM/CMS. Had fun playing with the 2260/3. One of the places took early delivery of a few 3270s with single or low double digit serial numbers. The drivers were beta quality and our people were on the phone with IBM Palo Alto to work out some of the kinks. Never saw a 5080. Sure had my fill of S0C5 data exceptions that caused abends.
