Calibre Content Server in El Capitan not starting OK

Hi

I´m running Calibre 2.62.0 on OS X 10.11.5 El Capitan. The program is set to launch at startup, and the Calibre server to start when the program loads.

But I´m having this problem: When the program starts, the calibre content server starts witn IP: "None"

I have to stop the server manually, and start it again, for it to get an IP.

And it's not a display thing. The server is unreachable when the IP is shown as "None".

Could this be a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

It's probably because your networking subsystem has not initialized at the time calibre starts the server. Add a delay of ten-fifteen seconds before launching calibre. I dont know is the OS X launch system has that ability built-in, but you can always acheive it by using a script to start calibre.

You could also use a launchd task to initialize calibre-server via the command line.

The command-line tools are installed if you use homebrew cask to install calibre, or my alternative auto-update solution at https://github.com/eli-schwartz/calibre-installer

...

Benefits include easier scripting and faster startup/less RAM used when the server is all you need.
