Resets after four days

My Kobo Glo is bugging me. When I don't use it for about four days, it resets itself. Things like 'restoring' and 'connect usb' are shown. After this it reconfigures it self, and after some minutes it is empty but working ... This happened three times for now, and it is really frustrating.

I asked Kobo for support, since the device is too old they can not repair it. Kobo support told me to give it a hard reset (I already did), if that does not help it is broken.

Any ideas here if my Glo can be fixed? I don't want to pay another 129 euro's for a new ereader.

If it has a removable internal microSD, I suggest you replace it with a new one cloned with the Kobo Glo image.

If this does not solve the problem, you may have to replace the reader. For cheaper e-Reader options look in eBay.

I am a bit confused. Why would replacing the sd-card solve a problem that looks like it has to do with the battery?

Usually battery problems are associated with failing to recharge, or a dead battery. In your case the device is working, means the battery is working.

Most probably the problem could be with the firmware on microSD or other hardware problem.

Thanks! I am going to look at it. When that fails, I'll check for a new battery.
