i86 update firmware problem

hi, i try to update my i86 ml(version: 1.75_rc1) to 1.75 version. i tried it using `check update from local storage` section but returned to me with `no update packet available`. of course i moved update.zip in to the root directory before and micro sd`s root also. i tried like this a couple times and didn`t work for me. Anyway, impulsively i clicked on the zip file and

update started and reboot, crashed as like below
....
verifying update package...
Installing update...
Checking update package matching
assert failed: file_getprop(/tmp//android-info.txt, "board") == getprop("ro.product.board")
E: Error in /cache/update.zip
(status 7)
Installation aborted

Any opinion or advice?

You can try and flash the 4.0.4 firmware from booxter using the MFGtool

On the off chance you're having the same problem i was having: Did you have a microsd card in the slot? If so, maybe try again without one, that did it for me.

Hello,
I bougth recently N96ML, i have light everywhere in home, so how can i disable frontlight feature of this device.
N96MNL is perfect in harware equipement, but stil in alpha software developement, sorry pre-alpha yet i had to say!

I have yet 2 Sony readers PRS-T2 and T3, perfect readers indeed, but Sony has stopped support, Packetbook 912 is not a readerbut just a box with proc and small storage in it!,
Antatech AF2, stil under developement, like N96ML
