Dreamland: Tome 1: Feu ! by French BD and manga creator Reno Lemaire (Bédétheque) is the 1st volume in his French-language Dreamland series of fantasy adventure manga-styled BD starring an otherwise ordinary high school boy who discovers within his nightly dream life a secondary identity as magical fire-controller, as you do, this installment setting up the premise and his initial adventures, free courtesy of publisher Hachette's Pika imprint for French-language manga.

This is apparently being offered free as a promo to accompany a worldwide sale by the French publishers of assorted bandes déssinées and manga albums in translation; more details will be added to the Comics megathread, if you're interested.

Because we almost never get French-language freebies from the major publishers, and getting not just one, but two, 1st-in-series introductory volumes from a major imprint and one of them a French-original manga-styled BD series (alongside the translation of the popular actual Japanese manga one) and an accompanying sale on further volumes should one happen to like these, is a doubleplus good treat indeed.
