KUAL won't start
im trying to install kual on my jailbroken kindle
the kual sayies "the selected application could not be started try again later" what can i do?
i changed its os, installed almost everything
and nothing
please help

  1. Which device do you have according to Kindle Serial Numbers
  2. What is your firmware version?
  3. What steps did you follow to install the jailbreak*?


Give us the information we need in order to figure out how to help you...



* -- particularly, did that include the hotfix or other method of installing the MKK? The MKK is the part of the jailbreak that enables KUAL.

Did you installed hotfix, If yes try to downgrade 2 times; downgrade to factory version and downgrade before doing anything then jailbreak.

Keep sentences short, simple, and white space (blank line) separated, otherwise there is no telling what will come out of the other end of a machine translation.

2- Install downgrade again
3-Jailbreak.
4-Install Hoxfix
5-Install Update
6-Install Kual
If it does not work
7-Install Hotfix again
Profit???

after the jailbreak im on 5.6.0
i did all the steps except the changing of the os (after my installation my 5.7.3 became 5.6.0)
i installed the hotfix as in the manualhere
how do i downgrade and to what os? (give me a link please)

A KT2 then -
JB is installed -
'hotfix' is installed -

Now upgrade to current Amazon firmware for your model (the 'new basic Kindle' I think they call it).

KUAL should run on 5.7.3 or 5.7.4 without problems.

If you do have problems, tell us the message please.
