Synchronising on Different Platforms
I've been reading books on my Android mobile phone and tablet but now looking to buy an Amazon ebook reader for summer outdoor use.
When I used the Kindle reader for Android a while ago, I could send my own books to my account, they would appear on all devices and the Cloud Reader and would synchronise. I find now that any such books I send to my account get delivered to phone and tablet but do not appear in my account or Cloud Reader, which I can sort of understand and can live with. Books bought from Amazon show and work on all. My question is before I buy a Kindle device is will my own books be delivered and synchronised to it? Thanks. Brian |

Yes, all Kindles support "personal documents", but (as you've discovered) the Cloud Reader (and also Kindle for PC/Mac) don't.

I am the proud owner of a Kindle Touch gen 7 ebook reader. Although it is my main reading device of choice I frequently read on either my Android tablet or more often on my mobile phone at times during the day.
I am finding the synchronising of reading positions between Android and the Kindle inconsistent. I thought to start with that this might be only on side loaded books but it seems to be the case with books I've bought from the Kindle store as well. The Kindle Touch generally up-dates ok from the last reading position from my phone, but the phone often doesn't register the change from the Touch. Has anyone else had/have this problem or is there a work round? Thanks. Brian |
