Edit of metadata : subject
HI,
I noticed there is no option to edit, clear or update the metadata field "subject" in Calibre. Is it possible to add the field "Subject" to Calibre? |

The only Subject I know of, MAY appear in comments (and Comments are most certainly editable)
IMHO Tags is a place to define which subject(s) the title covers But ... see http://manual.calibre-ebook.com/faq....column-for-foo for your own columns |

As far as I know calibre saves its Tags values in <dc:subject>Tag</dc:subject> lines in the book's opf. One Tag per line.
