M96 Plus with Android 4.4 Kitkat, anyone?

In my eternal search for a decent note-taking device, I just updated my M96 to 4.4 KitKat. While this allowed me to install both MS OneNote and Google Keep, both apps force close before I can even try handwriting.

If anyone has KitKat on a M96 Plus, and would be willing to try whether these apps run on it, it would be a huge help for me!

Google Keep works fine on ICS 4.0 when you install it from apk (with updated google services).

DarkCookie, thanks for the tip! Indeed I was able to install it from Apkmirror. However, when I try to write by hand ("Drawing"), the app crashes. I wonder if the hardware is too weak.
If someone could confirm that handwriting in Keep or OneNote works on the M96Plus, this would be enough for me to upgrade.
