E-ink (e-pearl, mobius) vs. True Tone display (of Ipad Pro 9.7)

I wonder if someone has had a personal experience with the both display. I am sensitive to LCD screens, and thus prefer the e-ink. However, I heard that the true tone is much better for the eyes, than the regular LCD. Surely, the technology is different, there is a gap in terms of comfort, and yet I wonder if the true tone comes very close to the e-ink.

Can you get to an Applestore and test it out? No one else will be able to tell you whether you'l lbe sensitive to it. An iPad Pro is also an enormous expense if you're just looking for something to read novels on.

True tone is just automated white balance/brightness adjustment - something you can achieve yourself, in a more fiddly but also more personal/adjustable way, by adjusting background colours and brightness while you're reading.

Yes, it's still an LCD screen, so if it's the light emissions of such a screen that bother you, it's not going to make a difference.
