Preventing Amazon from updating my kindle PW2 fw5.6.5
Hi there.
Is there any sure way, to disable amazon's OTA updates?
I've checked the BackDoorLock hack, but I'm not sure if it still works.
Also does the file "update.bin.tmp.partial" works?
Thanks for any help!
BTW.
Any quick method to reinstall all kindle packages after software update?

Then you will be able to run KUAL and its MrPI extension (the package installer that you **must** use on 5.6 and 5.7 anyway).

The MrPI extension can handle a 'batch' of update_*.bin packages placed in its installation directory at one time.

It has been reported working on everything except 5.7.4.1 - -
We can not tell for certain until an update to that version is released.

If that is the version you want to protect from an OTA update, your only choice now is to stay in Airplane Mode (until an update is released and somebody tests this method of blocking).
