A Welcome, Perhaps a Passing Glimpse, Or Mayhap, a Sign of Change to Come

Hello MobileRead!

I'm a 16 years old student from Istanbul, Turkey. My love of reading goes back a long way -taught myself to read with assistance from parents when I was six- and it has always been one of my favorite ways to pass the time. My favorite genre is science fiction.

Unfortunately, ereaders are practically nonexistent in Turkey save for a single local brand ("reeder")- or were, because last week a famous bookstore started to stock Kobo ereaders!

I'd checked out Kindle ereaders before, but without the lack of means or money to import one I ended up forgetting all about it. A month or so ago, my sister gifted me her old iPad since I could use it at school, and I ended up trying the Kindle app for it. To my surprise, I could actually buy Kindle ebooks on Amazon! I bought a few (Neuromancer, Inkheart, Inferno and a couple others) but it quickly became apparent that I needed a better means to read those books, so I jumped back into the ereader fray!

Nice to meet you all ^^

Hi and welcome.
Be sure and check out the books here too. They can be sideloaded onto a kindle or kobo.
