Searching inside book

Yep, it's me again. I wonder if with Calibre I can search inside the books. My intention is search some group of words, by example, publisher, with the finality to fill the publisher field for each book in my library. I know that not all the books have these information, but I hope that the most of them have.

Sorry my grammar.
Best regards from Lima, Perú
Blessings

@mariaclaudia:

MCS has a full-text search tab. Read the ToolTips.

@mariaclaudia - FWIW this is what I do in Windows
  1. I use one of several Windows content searchers to search within a library folder. The search tools I use include -- X1, Windows 10 from File Explorer, FileLocator Pro (Agent Ransack's big brother) and the Find feature in xplorer² Pro (file manager).
  2. I then use the excellent Drop Search Results plugin to Mark the books in Calibre. It's excellent because it's very simple to use and it works with all the search tools I use - and some that I don't.
  3. And then I do whatever to the Marked books - e.g. use bulk metadata edit to add a tag, create a Reading List, remove the books etc.
I sometimes broaden the search scope beyond calibre libraries, to include things like emails, blog and social media posts etc.

BR

Thanks to both for answering. However, again, I believe I don't explained well. When I open a epub, usually in the second or third page, we found this information (see capture)

In this case, by example, we found the ISBN and the publisher (Editorial), Seix Barral. I wonder if with Calibre I can search for this information.

I hope I explained better this time

Blessings

Aa-ah - the Extract ISBN plugin should find the ISBN and put it into an ISBN Id, then you can hopefully do a metadata download to get publisher details.

Also - what do you see if you click that blue i button on the left (under the gears)

BR

PS - I thought Vargas Llosa was opposed to the use of '¿' - misremembered, should have checked - 'twas Pablo Naruda see ¿Why isn’t English like Spanish?. No prizes for guessing who put the question
