I need help to solve some problem, plese!

Hi,
i have some question
1
When i add a book my pdf is copied in to the directory of calibre, i can only add book without copy the pdf files?
If i configure metadata and not flag option on preferences-add books-read metadata from file and not from name, but whit this option i can add book but i cannot dysplay the first page image, i need to add it for every one......

What i want is to dysplay only pdf preview, but mantain file where are, it is possible?

Can i create some collecion to load separately? for example 1 for all the videogame magazine, and other for book so do not mix?

Let me try to briefly answer your first question. Calibre's design requires that books added to its database be copied over into the Calibre folder. That was a design choice made when the program was first created. The Calibre database looks to the folder in which Calibre has stored the book files in order to perform operations and to link the metadata from the database. There have been occasional discussions about this design choice, but it pretty much locked in and isn't going to change.

1) As MSWallack said, this is by design and will not change. There is even a sticky thread about it:
Sticky: Want to change folder structure or file names in the Calibre library?

2) Click the Library icon in the toolbar, and use Switch/Create Library to create a second library for your magazines. Then you can switch between them as needed.
Alternatively, you can use a Virtual Library.
